Floyd Mayweather has defeated Manny Pacquiao by a unanimous decision at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas.

The victory secures the WBA, WBC and WBO welterweight titles, as well as extend his unbeaten streak.

The judges scored the fight as 118-110, 116-112 & 116-112 in favour of the American.

After being rocked early in the fight by Pacquiao, Mayweather's trademark ring-craft featuring his speed saw him outclass the Filipino.

That sees Mayweather extend his unbeaten record to 48 fights with him saying afterwards that he'll fight one more time in September 2015.

One of sport's most eagerly anticipated events lived up to the hype from a purists point of view as the two best boxers of their generation displayed their skills.

After the fight, Mayweather confirmed his last fight will be in September this year.

The MGM Grand in Las Vegas plays host to one of the biggest fights and sporting events in history as Floyd Mayweather and Manny Pacquiao finally clashed.

The 'Fight of the Century' lived up to the hype with many predicting that Mayweather will 'outbox' Pacquiao should the fight go the distance.

After a delay the fight that everyone was waiting for finally got underway at 6am following the national anthems.
