Tourism generates more revenue

Mr. Sunny Alfonso has disclosed that tourism can generate more revenue if the necessary measures are implemented to advertise the sector on the world market.

The Chief Executive Officer of Rising to Excellence (RisXcel) Limited, Sunny Alfonso, a Uk-based management firm, has called on government and the Ministry of Trade and Tourism to sell the country’s tourism sector beyond the African frontiers.

Speaking at a workshop organized by RisXcel in collaboration with Ghana Tourism Federation (GHATOF) dubbed, “Putting Ghana on the world map of Tourism in the 21century”, he disclosed that tourism can generate more revenue if the necessary measures are implemented to advertise the sector on the world market.

He cited, regular international exhibitions should be organized to outdoor Ghana’s tourist sites and other artifacts with improved transportation systems for easy access by the tourist.

Mr. Alfonso remarked the poor patronage in Ghana’s Tourism can be attributed to the poor customer service relationship and lack of hospitality education show by the employees who attends to the tourist.

David Nana Anim, President of GHATOF, stated that the sector will progress if all stakeholders participate effectively and efficiently.
