Osei Kyei-Mensah Bonsu may be on his way out of parliament as a staunch member of the NPP is lacing his boot to unseat him.
Osei Kyei-Mensah Bonsu, Member of Parliament (MP) for the Suame constituency hopes of returning to parliament in 2016 is seriously shaking as a party guru in his constituency is lacing his boots to unseat him.
Kwadwo Boateng Genfi, a top contender for the Suame NPP parliamentary seat, brought activities in the area to a standstill on Wednesday when he was going to the party’s office to pick his nomination form to officially announce his participation in the upcoming party polls.
The crowd that followed him to the party’s office was so colossal that it caused massive vehicular traffic in the neighbourhood.
Most of the people openly shouted on top of their voices that Suame needed change and that Boateng Genfi was their preferred choice as MP for 2016.
Boateng Genfi, who looked overwhelmed by the huge support he had enjoyed from the people, said he will win the NPP primaries convincingly.
He said the time is ripe for the party to have someone who could bring unity into the party in the constituency.
Sounding confident, he stated emphatically that he will also win the 2016 polls on the ticket of the NPP with a big margin.
He said he will restore hope and confidence in the NPP in the constituency, since most party faithful had lost confidence in the party. He also pledged to woo floating voters to the camp of the NPP.
The aspirant stated that his major goal was to work assiduously to ensure that the NPP maximised its votes at Suame to help Nana Akufo-Addo become president in 2016.
