On demand food delivery service-Munchery, receives seed funding

Munchery’s services has received a boost in a latest round of seed funding, worth $85 million.

Experts say the On-Demand food delivery services company’s valuation, has risen to $300 million, one of the highest in its sector.

The company, through it spokesperson says they will use this round of funding to expand their services to other regions in the United States of America.

They are currently available in San Francisco, New York, Seattle and Los Angeles.

The desire of founders Tri Tran and Conrad Chu, for a dinner solution, gave rise to Munchery, said one tech expert.

This funding round was a product of many companies coming together. The companies are Sherpa Ventures, with additional participation from NorthGate Capital,137 Ventures, Mousse Partners, e.ventures, and Greycroft Partners.

It was spearheaded by Menlo Ventures.

The total funding sum for Munchery, has now risen to $117.2 million.
