HFC bank names new MD

HFC bank has named Mr. Osei Asafo Adjei as the new acting Managing Director to succeed Mr. Asare Akuffo.

HFC bank has announced the appointment of Osei Asafo Adjei  as its acting Managing Director for the bank.

Mr. Osei Asafo Adjei has been the Executive Director, Corporate Banking of HFC in June 2012.

His appointment will take effect from June 2015 and he replaces Mr. Asare Akuffo who has been at the helm of affairs of HFC for 10 years.

An experienced banker who started his banking and accounting career for so many years brings his rich industry experience having served as the General Manager of Business Development at The Trust Bank (TTB).

As the General Manager of Business Development (TTB), he was responsible for lending including Corporate Banking, Business Banking, Financial Institutions and Markets. He also served as  the Treasury, Retail and Private Banking Manager as well as Marketing and Communication Development.

Asafo Adjei holds a BSc. Agriculture Economics degree and a Master of Philosophy in Agriculture Economics from the University of Glasgow, Scotland.

In 1990, Mr. Asare Akuffo joined HFC and served as the investment manager at the Social Security and National Insurance Trust (SSNIT).

He was appointed the Managing Director of HFC in 2005 having served as the Deputy Managing Director in 2003.

He is expected to retire in June after 10-years of dedicated service to the bank as MD.

At an Annual General Meeting in Accra, he stated that, he will step down as the MD of HFC on Friday, 24, 2015.
