New Cedi Notes Were My Project Work - Designer

A graphic designer has revealed that the new Ghana cedi notes were his school project work.

A graphic designer has revealed that the purported new Ghana cedi notes that flooded social media over the weekend were just his school project work.

Suggestions over the weekend indicated that the Bank of Ghana was set to release new currency notes in GH¢30, GH¢100 and GH¢200 denominations but the Central Bank on Monday denied the reports describing the notes as fake.

Holison Adiku, who studied graphic and web design at IPMC, an IT training institution in Ghana says the art works were his school project and nothing more has told ghanabusinessnews.com in an interview that the art works were just his project work.

According to Ghanabusinessnews.com, Adiku who now works as a professional photographer that he posted the notes which he designed in 2012 on his business page on Thursday.

“Last Thursday, I did a ‘Throw Back Thursday’, since people now know me as a photographer and no more a graphic designer and posted the works with the following hashtags: #Tbt #Ipmc #Project #work #2011.”

Adiku added: “I even posted them on my business page”.
