Major shake up hits Police Service; COP Agblor, Atinga, moved

The changes, which affects as many as 29 people at the top hierarchy, were contained in a statement issued Friday and will take effect from December 1.

 

Acting Inspector General of Police (IGP), John Kudalor has announced new changes at the top hierarchy of the security service.

The changes, which  affects as many as 29 people at the top hierarchy, were contained in a statement issued Friday and will take effect from December 1.

According to the statement, COP Rose Bio Atinga, Director-General/ Administration is now the Director General , Research and Planning at the National Police Headquarters.COP/Mr. Prosper Kwame Agblor is now the Director General/ CID National headquarters while DCOP/Mr. Ransford Ninson, Regional Commander/CR has moved to Director General/Medics, National Police HQ/ Accra.COP David Asante Apeatu who was Director General Research is now at the National HQ as Director General ICT.Director General of the Motor Traffic Department, DCOP Awuni is now the Eastern Region Police Commander while COP Seidu Mohamadu Zakaria who was Director/hospital now becomes the Director General Medics at the National Police HQ, Accra.
