Nayele Ametefe's Cocaine Saga Court Case Rescheduled for January 6

The Crown court at Isleworth, in the United Kingdom has adjourned Nayele Ametefe's case to January 6, 2014 where she reappears before the court for judgment.

Ms Ametefe was scheduled to appear before the Court on Monday January 5, 2015 after she first appeared before the court via video link on November 27, 2014 for a preliminary hearing and pleaded guilty to the charges leveled against her.

The case was adjourned to give the court more time to look at the forensic analysis of the cocaine to determine exactly how much she smuggled into the UK and the street value before she is sentenced. Some legal practitioners have conjectured that based on the specific crime committed, Nayele, could be sentenced for more than 12 to 15 years but the prosecution in the case, led by Ravinder John said, she could be looking at a minimum of 10 year.

Preliminary reports however he added, if the substance is in excess of 10kg she may serve more years in jail.  Ms. Nayele Ametefe was arrest and subsequent trial for trafficking about 12.5 kilograms cocaine.
