Some delegates of the NPP have vowed to vote for an independent candidate if an aspirant is disqualified.
Factions is brewing in the Tema West Constituency of the New Patriotic Party as delegates have declared to support any parliamentary aspirant who will be disqualified during the vetting process.
According to some delegates, they will vote skirt and blouse if they disqualify a candidate.
Assigning reasons for their intention at a press conference in Tema, the delegates said incumbent MP, Irene Naa Toshie-Addo has failed to live up to expectations as an MP for the area amid poor human relations.
The executives are waging a campaign against the re-election of the MP.
According to the executives, they will resist the attempt to disqualify any of the candidates contesting.

“We have noticed that anytime there is primaries, they try to eliminate some people but this time around, we will not allow it.
“Our people are telling us that if we choose Naa Toshie they will not vote for the NPP but will rather go and support the NDC candidate so we plead with them they should not make any mistake of sneaking her in because that will make us lose the elections.”
