Two arrested in Subin

Two delegates of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) in the Subin constituency in the Ashanti region have been arrested for taking pictures of their ballots.The two are alleged to have taken pictures of their ballots because they had been promised motorbikes by one of the aspirants in the ongoing parliamentary primaries.

The NPP is electing parliamentary candidates for the 2016 elections.

The party advised all delegates, aspirants and members to “conduct themselves in the spirit of party unity at the various polling centres.”

Flag-bearer, Nana Akufo-Addo on Thursday asked delegates to vote for candidates who are capable of winning their seats to deliver an NPP majority in the next parliament. This was followed by National chairman, Paul Afoko's statement which cautioned delegates to vote for parliamentary candidates who “will project the true values of the party”.
