Irate youth attack chief's palace for supporting Oppong-Nkrumah

Tension has engulfed the Ofoase-Ayirebi constituency following the victory of Kojo Oppong-Nkrumah.

Some irate youth of Ofoase-Ayirebi in the Eastern region last Saturday went on rampage and vandalized the chief’s palace after a landslide victory of ace broadcaster, Kojo Oppong-Nkrumah in the New Patriotic Party (NPP) primaries.

The disgruntled youth claim two sub-chiefs, Benkumhene, Nana Kwa Frimpong and Dabehene Nana Saabor masterminded the defeated of Francis Obiri Yeboah in the primaries.

They alleged that the chief took bribes from Oppong-Nkrumah and ensured delegates vote massively for him.

In revenge, the youth deemed to be supporters of failed parliamentary aspirant; Obiri Yeboah Obiri Yeboah stormed the palace, looked for their stools and burnt them to ashes.
