The two beleaguered national chairman Paul Afoko and general secretary Kwabena Agyepong are currently locked up in a meeting with constituency executives of the party in Kumasi the Ashanti region.

Pulse.com.gh understands that there is currently a meeting underway at a private residence near the McKeown Hotel in Asokwa.

Reports also indicates that some 'machomen' loyal to the two executives have surrounded the residence to avoid disruption by the regional chairman, Bernard Antwi Boasiako also known as Chairman Wontumi.

Meanwhile, the minority NPP Members of Parliament have backed calls by the regional executives asking the two embattled national executives to step aside.

The minority in a statement said, there appears to be a leadership vacuum and communication gat at centre of the party.

They added that there is a great degree of mistrust within the leadership ensuing from declared positions taken by the two top most elected officers of the party.
