Okomfo Yaw Appiah who agreed to a face off with Bishop Daniel Obinim at the Jackson's Park in Kumasi failed to make an appearance claiming he is under house arrest.
Ashanti Regional Police Public Relations Officer, ASP Mohammed Tanko has told Pulse.com.gh that Okomfo Yaw Appiah has not been put under house arrest, but rather he is being held in protective custody.
According to ASP Tanko the police had information that scores of Bishop Obinim’s supporters had planned to invade and attack Okomfo Yaw’s residence and decided to give him protection.
“Supporters of Bishop Obinim were going to invade the fetish priest’s house and attack him so we sent the men there to prevent that from happening’, he said.
