In addressing the media on Thursday, the Mayor of Accra said if the four waste company management does not improve on their services by April 2015 then their contract will terminated.

Accra Metropolitan Assembly’s Boss, Alfred Oko Vanderpuijie has given four waste management companies an ultimatum to improve on their services.

“We have already met with four companies of the waste management that we know are not performing well in some of our areas.”
“We have given them up till April to improve their performance and if they don’t improve their performance by the end of April, we will terminate their contract and we will bring in new companies to do a much better work so we have no excuse to burn our refuse within our communities,” he stated.
He however did not disclose the names of the companies involved.
