Former US President George Bush Snr, Discharged From Hospital

A statement from George Bush Snr's spokesman, Jim McGrath, confirmed the former president who celebrated his 90th birthday in June had been discharged. "He is now resting at home, grateful to the doctors and nurses for their superb care."

Former US President George Bush Sr has been released from Houston Methodist hospital in Texas more than a week after being admitted suffering from a shortness of breath.

According his spokesperson said  Mr Bush, 90, was released from the Hospital and will continue his recovery at home Two years ago, Mr Bush who can no longer use his legs was treated in the same hospital for more than two months for bronchitis and other issues.

The oldest living former US president and a World War Two veteran was president from 1989 to 1993, and heads a famous political dynasty. His son George W Bush served as president from 2001 to 2009. early this month his Jeb Bush, said he would "actively explore the possibility of running for president" in 2016.
