The mother of jailed cocaine trafficker, Nayele Ametefe, was Thursday arrested by the police. She was arrested after responding to an invitation to report at the Airport Police Station in Accra over allegations of assault. According to Joy FM news, she was granted bail after writing her statement.

As previously reported, the mother of jailed Nayele was said to have assaulted an official of the Narcotics Control Board (NACOB), who went to Nayele’s East Legon house to post a notice of seizure. The attempt to confiscate the house follows the sentencing of Nayele to eight years and eight months imprisonment in the UK. Investigations are ongoing, according to the police.
