An Ethiopian cargo plane has crash-landed at the Kotoka International Airport (KIA) on Saturday, January 10. The cargo plane arriving from Lome, Togo to Accra Ghana skidded off the runaway whiles landing. The incident which occurred around 11 am left the three-member crews injured.

The victims are currently receiving treatment at the 37 Military Hospital. Some airport officials have attribute the crash to the bad weather however on official statement have been made yet.

Officials of fire service, police and other security agencies have arrived at the scene of the accident and have begun investigations to ascertain the cause of the accident

According to an airport official, this is not the first time a plane has skidded off the runway at the KIA. It’s a normal situation which rarely happens in Ghana.
