A former National Chairman of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Haruna Esseku, has asked party members to ignore claims of former flag-bearer hopeful, Arthur Kobina Kennedy.

According to Mr. Esseku, Dr. Arthur Kennedy is just a sympathiser of the party who cares less about its wellbeing.

“He was a member of the party; I have not seen or heard of him, he goes away to America and to do his work. Currently I call him a sympathiser of the party. He is not a member.“For the past two, three years, I have not heard Arthur Kennedy speaking on my party platform or attending any meeting at national executive level or national council level then suddenly you come out and criticise the party. This is not the first time he has done that.“As far as I see it, I will describe him as an ordinary member of the party and if an ordinary member of a party makes a comment, it must be taken at that level,” Mr. Esseku said on Starr FM’s Morning Starr. His comments have come in the wake of accusations by Dr. Arthur Kennedy that NPP’s flag-bearer, Nana Addo Dankwa Akuffo-Addo is scheming to remove from office, the duly elected Chairman, Paul Afoko and General Secretary, Kwabena Agyepong of the main opposition NPP.
