NDC will bounce back – John Mahama

John Mahama believes with hard work the NDC will return to power in no time.

The NDC –led by Mahama – were unseated from government after losing to Nana Akufo-Addo’s New Patriotic Party (NPP) in the 2016 polls.

The aftermath of the party’s defeat has been characterized by uncertainties, with a committee being set up to investigate the reasons for their loss.

However, with the committee still yet to present its final report, the party’s flagbearer for the last elections has called for calm, insisting with hard work the NDC will soon be back in power.

According to him, the cause of the NDC’s loss is “multifaceted”, while issuing a rallying call on all supporters and members to help strengthen the party’s base.

In a tweet, John Mahama wrote: “The NDC will bounce back!! Cause of our loss is multifaceted. We need calm nerves & hard work to strengthen the base of party.”

Most party members have been faced with the uncertainty of whether Mahama was still interested in contesting on the party’s ticket come 2020.

And although the former president is yet to confirm whether he will indeed contest in 2020 or not, his latest comment is bound to spark a sense of optimism within the party.
