According to him, statements by Kennedy Agyapong on the controversy at BOST should not be taken for granted since he [Kennedy Agyapong] has evidence to support his claim.
"Those critics who have nothing to do but to criticize Kennedy Agyapong and insult him because he saying the truth should desist from it because Kennedy Agyapong will not make claims without any evidence and so stop attacking him and rather laud him for his boldness," he said.
Kennedy Agyapong had alleged that the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Chamber of Bulk Oil Distributors, Senyo Hosi attempted bribing the Managing Director of BOST, Mr Alfred Obeng with $1million in order that a supposed consignment of off-spec fuel sold to Movenpiina Company Limited would be reversed and sold to him (Hosi).
The money, the MP, alleged was to influence Mr. Alfred Obeng to reverse a contaminated fuel sale made by BOST to two companies.
The sale of the 5million litres of off-spec fuel generated loud media discussions, compelling the Energy Minister Boakye Agyarko to set up a committee to investigate the circumstances under which the fuel was contaminated and later sold.
