Social media reacts negatively to China's 10,000 cedis donation to Attorney General
Many online commenters believe the donation is an inducement to the Attorney General’s office in which the ultimate goal would be the freeing of Chinese citizens on trial for illegal mining in Ghana including the now infamous Asia Huang.

The Chinese Embassy has donated items including desktop computers, printers, UPS and a cheque for 10,000 Ghana cedis, to the office of the Attorney General.
The donation is aimed at supporting the Attorney General’s Office towards organising a stake-holder's consultative workshop, on the Office of the Special Prosecutor Bill, 2017.
Madam Sun Baohang, the Chinese ambassador outlined her country’s readiness to assist the Government of Ghana in fighting corruption.
However, it appears the goodwill from the Asian super power has not gained the appreciation they were perhaps looking for.
