Akufo-Addo is a "man of his words"- Bawumia

He noted that some of the president's major promises in the 2016 elections are being implemented, citing the setting up of the Zongo Development Fund and the commencement of the free Senior High School in September.

Speaking in Wa on a working visit as part of efforts to fraternise with the Muslim community in Ghana, the Vice President said: “Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo Addo is a man of his words. He is a man who keeps his promise. He is the man who has sympathy for the suffering of the Ghanaian man, and when he said if given the opportunity he will establish the Zongo Development Fund to help the people in the Zongos, he has actually done exactly that.”

“He has allocated GHC 219 million to help the Zongo Development Fund, and this will be given this year and the passage of the Zongo Development Fund law this year will make sure that every year funds are allocated in the budget for this fund, and we will see a lot of development in the Zongos.

"He promised that he will bring free Senior High School education so that none of our kids will be left behind and by the grace of God we will start the free SHS by September this year.”
