Afoko uncertain about NPP's victory in 2016

Paul Afoko has indicated that he will vote for the party in the general elections in his capacity as “National Chairman” of the party.

The suspended national chairman of the New Patriotic Party, Paul Afoko, says he is not certain of victory for the NPP in this year's presidential elections because the victory blocks he was building for the party have been dismantled due to his suspension.

Mr. Afoko who spoke on TV3's Hot Issues said, "For me, to say that based on the confidence with which I walked out of that stadium in Tamale, telling everybody that by March, end of the first quarter of 2016 even NDC will [concede defeat], that certainty is no longer there. It’s a toss-up."

He, however, indicated that he will vote for the party in the general elections in his capacity as “National Chairman” of the party.

"I will vote for the New Patriotic Party," he noted.

Mr Afoko also insisted that Mr. Blay and Abankwa stand accused of operating a ‘secret’ bank account with Ecobank, Trust Towers Branch, at the blind side of him and the suspended General Secretary, Kwabena Agyepong as well as other executive members.
