Akwamus will reward Mahama - Traditional Council
He explained that the traditional area supports parties that help develop the land of Akwamu.

The acting president of the Akwamu Traditional Council, Osuogyasono Yaw Boadu IV has reiterated his stance that the people of Akwamu will vote massively for President John Mahama and the governing National Democratic Congress (NDC).
“We support any government in power but the good relationship that this government has established between us when the time comes, we will remember him.”

He was earlier criticised by other members of the traditional council after he first endorsed President Mahama.
However the Krontihene of Akwamu Traditional area, Nana Aware Akowua, condemned Osuogyasono Yaw Boadu IV saying the chief could not choose who they vote for.
Meanwhile the Krontihene also endorsed Nana Addo during his tour of the region.
But reacting to the criticisms, Osuogyasono Yaw Boadu IV said there must be unity irrespective of which political party an individual supports.

“We want quality education and Development...Osarfo Marfo and Adjei Marfo are siblings but are in different political parties, NPP and NDC respectively but we have not heard them fight, so I want people of Akwamu to take a lesson from it. If you are in Party A and someone is in Party B, you are not enemies instead just political opponent so stop insulting me,” he added.
The chief was speaking when the Eastern regional Minister, Mavis Ama Frimpong addressed supporters of the party at Akwamu after she visited the area to inspect the washed away part of the Akwamu to Atimpoku road.
