Nana Addo urges NPP supporters to give EC time for declaration

Nana Addo has asked his supporters to remain calm as the Electroal Commission goes through the process of announcing the winner of the Wednesday's election.

Addressing a gathering of party supporters that thronged to his Nima residence in Accra, the Nana Addo opined that he will be the eventual winner of Wednesday’s presidential polls.

The NPP has declared their flagbearer as winner of the 2016 presidential elections based on the party’s collation of results.

Meanwhile, Nana Addo also revealed that five of his competitors, PPP leader Dr Papa Kwesi Nduom, PNC's Dr Edward Mahama, Independent candidate Joseph Osei Yeboah, NDP's Nana Konadu and CPP's Ivor Greenstreet have congratulated him.

The election ended at 5:00pm Wednesday with few hitches and was largely peaceful.
