Abena Biritwum was addressing constituents at a three-day tour of the area urging them to vote massively for the PPP for the development of the country
She expressed confidence that policies laid down by the party would benefit the electorate.
“We have policies that will make your petty trading flourish and for your children to have a quality education. Our educational programmes include vacation classes for students [and] remedial classes for non-performing students.
We also intend to build libraries for every electoral area in this constituency. We are already discussing this project with the authorities. We have scholarships for students as well, so we have all these plans for you. We in the PPP don’t promise; we deliver…” she said.
The party’s vice-presidential nominee, Brigitte Dzogbenuku, also stated that the PPP does not believe in discrimination
“I am from the Volta Region but you are all my family. We won’t say our party belongs to one group or the other; we don’t discriminate for the sake of elections. A vote for the PPP is a vote for Ghana. When you vote for the CPP, you vote for inclusive governance,” she said.
