Politics of insults and confrontation will lead Ghana nowhere.

This is according to the Vice President Kwesi Amissah-Arthur. He explained that in this election year, campaigns should be about issues and achievements and not insults.

In a tweet on his Twitter handle, he said: “I don't believe in confrontation politics or politics of insults.”

He was hopeful the governing  NDC will win the December polls because “we have a superior record of achievements and on any day, we will win that.”

However, the Vice President is on record earlier for saying that the NDC will match the opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP) boot for boot when it comes to the use of provocative language during the campaign ahead of the elections.

He made the 'one for two insult' comment on a capign platform in he Central Region. He argued that the NDC has tolerated enough provocative language(insults) from the opposition party.

His counter comments caused a backlash on social media especially from those on Twitter.
