John Mahama received questionable $3m from BOST – NPP alleges
They say between June 2016 and January 2017, a bimonthly amount of $2.5 to $3 million were secretly transferred to the Office of the President and the Chief of Staff, the last amount being $3 million.

The major side of parliament made this known at a press conference on Friday, after they sought to push back against allegation of corruption leveled against the current BOST Managing Director, Alfred Obeng.
“Since 2015, BOST under the guide of secret transfers has transferred unexplained colossal amount of it between $2.5 to 3.5 million on bimonthly basis to the office of the President and the Chief of Staff, the last amount being 3 million which was transferred on January 30, 2017.

“It does appear there has been a lot of rot at BOST and for that reason, we agree that we require a high powered committee to investigate this and other related improprieties to determine the extent to which these affect and have affected the company, the economy and efficiency of BOST.
Mr Obeng has been accused of doing business with unlicensed companies – Zup Oil and Movenpiina, as well as selling off contaminated oil under questionable circumstance.
The minority has called on him to step aside for investigations to commence into the matter.
The Minister of Energy, Baokye Agyarko, has formd a 10-member committee to investigate the saga.
