NPP flagbearer rates Mahama 30% in fight against corruption

On what he would have done differently in the fight against corruption, he said will enforce the laws of the country, especially the procurement law.

 

"The fight against corruption by the Mahama government is a sham," he said in an interview with Kasapa FM to mark his 72 birthday today March 29.

Asked how he will rate the Mahama administration’s fight against corruption, Nana Addo laughed and said “certainly maybe 2 or 3 [out of 10]."

On what he would have done differently in the fight against corruption, he said he will enforce the laws of the country, especially the procurement law.

According to him, the procurement law; by and large encourages competitive bidding, admitting there can be isolated narrow occasions where sole sourcing is allowed.

He alleged that most of the government’s project did not go through competitive bidding, suggesting it could be an act of corruption.

He promised an NPP government will make sure that the procurement law work.
