In a speech read on his behalf by the spokesman the paramount chief stated that the appointment of Dr Seidu Daannaa is ample evidence that the government does not discriminate.

He said that he and his people are grateful for the new Community Senior High School at Loggu which is almost complete.

He also noted also that the overwhelming gathering of my people in Bulenga is a demonstration of the appreciation of the people to the government for the many development projects which the government of President Mahama has executed.

He then went on to list further projects which he implores the government to execute for his people.

The Chief of Staff stated that even though the Paramount Chief has requested for an ICT Centre and a polyclinic, he would say without any fear or favour that President Mahama has planned to make sure that those projects go to Districts that lack them.

He also made clear he, the President and the government are elated that Dr Daannaa who is visually impaired is be given the confidence of the people at the grassroots to take a shot at becoming the member of parliament of Wa East, noting that this step will be the first ever in Africa.

He therefore implored the Chiefs and People to throw their weight behind the bid of Dr Daannaa so as to make sure he eventually becomes a member of parliament particularly when he has the intellectual capacity to lead even as a cabinet Minister.

The General Secretary of the NDC, Johnson Asiedu Nketiah took the opportunity to appeal to members of the party and supporters in general not to be divided by feuds that would have generated from the primaries which the incumbent member of parliament Honourable Amin Salifu lost to Dr Daannaa.

He counselled all the people to work together since the primaries was a family contest.
