Speaking at NDC’s manifesto launch in Sunyani in the Brong Ahafo Region on Saturday September 17, he said "I am more than confident that NDC will win with a wide margin."

He said, “The 57% target I want to assure all of you is achievable. We have to work hard, no complacency and be vigilant on Election Day. Let’s fulfil the prophesy… 184 MPs is our target and we’ll achieve that. Ghanaians have seen the rest and it’s now time to receive the best.”

"Yes, we need to work hard; no complacency and we have to be vigilant on Election Day. But you know, with such a wounded elephant, I don’t know what they can do apart from fight with desperation."

He said Mahama has “unprecedented record of achievements” with the “right ideas and credible policies found in the manifesto."

President Mahama touched on various issues including the reduction of maternal, infant, child, and under-five mortalities under his administration, the expansion of the Tamale Teaching hospital, creating five more regions, building 5 more stadiums, the election of Municipal and District Chief Executives (MMDCEs), among others.

With the Green Book effectively outlining the key policies the NDC has implemented and the projects arising out of these policies, President Mahama will use the occasion to explain his vision for the next four years, and provide details of the key interventions he will be implementing in his second term.
