The ruling National Democratic Congress (NDC) are considering to reschedule its November 7 Parliamentary and Presidential primaries to November 21.

Although the Committee is yet to come up with a final conclusion, a member Osei Piesie Anto told Radio Ghana, “a decision will be reached soon.”

According to report by Joy FM, Samuel Ofosu Ampofo, Director of Elections of the NDC said the party will have to get approval from National Executive Committee (NEC) on the proposed November 21 date.

“We do not have the power to alter the date. I believe activities are being monitored and if there is a need for a change [in date] an emergency NEC meeting would be called,” he said.

President Mahama is going unopposed and expected to receive an overwhelming endorsement after a successful vetting.
