Sege youth demonstrate against DCE's removal

The youth wearing red arm bands and carried placards, denounced the actions of President John Mahama against the DCE.

Some youth of Sege in the Ada West District of the Greater Accra Region have embarked on demonstration asking President John Mahama to immediately reinstate the District Chief Executive (DCE), Anthony Klopka, of the area.

Tracy Atsupey Agu, the spokesperson for the protesters, said they did not see any justification for the DCE's removal since he had demonstrated quality leadership.

They said the DCE had within his relatively short time in office, endeared himself to the communities and left no one in doubt about his concern for the development of the people.

Mr Anthony Klokpa was removed from office by the President John Mahama on December 29, 2015, after serving for a period of three years.

The youth, have accused the Member of Parliament, Christian Otuteye, of masterminding the removal of the DCE.

Meanwhile, the MP in an interview with Pulse.com.gh has denied the allegation levelled against him by the youth.
