NPP’s Abronye DC threatens to quit party if towing levy is implemented
Baffoe aka Abronye DC said the implementation of the levy could lead the party into opposition, echoing an earlier position taken by his National Youth Organiser, Sammy Awuku.

Speaking on Accra-based Okay FM's 'Ade Akye Abia's' programme, Abronye DC said: "If you knew what goes on during Campaign, I don’t think you will implement it".
The towing levy, which was supposed to commence in June, has received widespread criticism from commercial drivers and the public.

The programme will be executed by Road Safety Management Limited (RSML), a subsidiary of the Jospong Group of Companies owned by business mogul, Joseph Siaw Agyapong.
But for Abronye DC, Mr Agyapong is seeking to take advantage of the government which he says could land the party in opposition.
“I will resign from the party because Mr Siaw Agyapong, the owner of RSML is seeking to exercise undue advantage over the government which would lead the party back into opposition.”
Government to decide on levy

On Friday, the Transport Ministry issued a statement saying the cabinet is yet to take a decision on the towing levy.
“No decision has been taken yet on the commencement of the towing services,” the sector Minister, Kwaku Ofori Asiamah said.
