New NDC MPs having hard time in parliament – Majority Leader

Majority Leader, Osei Kyei Mensah-Bonsu said the new NDC MPs are struggling really hard to stay in the parliament

He also said the old NDC parliamentarians are struggling really hard to stay in the House.

He added that the new entrants have usually been fraught with errors, fuelled by emotions which was due to the shock defeat the NDC suffered in the 2016 election.

In an interview, Osei Kyei Mensah-Bonsu said "It is rather the NDC MPs who are struggling in the House. I believe they are yet to recover from the shocking defeat. So, some of them are yet to make the impact."

He noted that the performance of the new MPs is not very effective, explaining that "sometimes I try to advise them, because parliamentary work is a continuous learning process. Some of them even come to me and I believe my colleagues as well, for advice and assessment of their contributions on the floor.
