Musah Superior secures massive endorsement from assembly

He secured all the 57 votes of assembly members at a special sitting organised to confirm his nomination.
Prior to the vote, he had conferred with Haruna Iddriru, MP for Tamale South; Inusah Fuseini, MP for Tamale Central and Alhassan Suhuyini, MP for Tamale North, to solicit their support.

The voting was held at the Tamale Sports Stadium on Friday.
In a facebook post, Mr Superior assured of his cooperation and collaboration to build the metropolis.
"To the delegates who have gathered today to finally legitimise my role, I wish to assure you of my cooperation, and collaboration as we work to build a great Metropolis. I shall count on you all in every step of the way, and I trust we will be working in an atmosphere of peace, mutual respect and dedication to sustainable development," he said.
He also thanked the chiefs and opinion leaders for the warm reception they extended to him.

"The Chiefs, clergy and clerics, the elders, youth, formal and informal institutions within the Tamale Metropolis have been exceptional with the warm reception they extended to me since I was nominated, and through every step of the way. I cannot thank you all enough," he said.
