Mahama must sack Stan Dogbe - Ephson

Mr. Dogbe was reported to have destroyed a voice recorder belonging to a reporter of the Ghana Broadcasting Corporation (GBC).

President John Mahama

Pollster and Managing Editor of the Daily Dispatch Newspaper, Ben Ephson is asking President John Mahama to “advise himself and take a decision” over the conduct of Presidential Staffer, Stan Dogbe.

The journalist, Yahaya Kwamoah of GBC radio went to the 37 Military Hospital to report on the accident which killed Ghanaian Times newspaper’s Samuel Nuamah and injured others.

Before this development, Mr. Dogbe had leaked details of the conditions of service doctors were demanding from government during their three week strike. This irked the doctors who noted that the act was a breach of confidentiality.

Speaking on Kasapa FM’s , Mr. Ephson said Stan Dogbe's “arrogance” is getting out of hand. He urged President Mahama to take a decision on Mr. Dogbe.

“Stan is my friend, but I think the arrogance is too much. He publicly insults people including a prominent chief like Togbega Gabuso, Paramount Chief of the Bui Traditional area and nothing is said or done to him. I know no President will like to be stampeded to sack his staffer, but I think the President must advise himself and take a decision on Stan. If you think a journalist has recorded you, you can seize the recorder and have the recording deleted, but not to hit it on the ground and destroy it as he did,” he said.
