Veteran actress Gifty Ewurakua Temeng has died.

The cause of death remains unclear but a close source from the family has confirmed to Pulse.com.gh that “she has been sick for well over 2 months now, But death laid its icy hands on her on Wednesday, 21st December afternoon at the 37 Military hospital in Accra.”

Her death comes as a big blow to the movie industry and the country as a whole especially when the year is almost ended.

The 50-year-old actress left behind 3 children.

She is a staunch member of the Presbyterian Church of Ghana.

The late Gifty who has been in the movie industry for over 30 years starred in movies like “Bitter Blessing, “Ties That Bind” and “Will.”
