I'll will prove myself at Bournemouth - Christian Atsu

The winger is ready to open a new chapter in his career at new club Bournemouth

Ghana winger Christian Atsu says he has to prove himself at Bournemouth if he is to break into the newly promoted Premier League side in an exclusive interview with Allsports.com.gh.

The 23-year-old is now on holiday until pre-season starts but he is already looking forward to the challenge ahead and he is expected to have a big impact at the Goldsands Stadium.

Atsu moved to Stamford Bridge from Porto in September 2013 and has been loaned out to Vitesse Arnhem and, most recently, Everton where he failed to impress.

A deal has now been struck that will see Atsu continue his development at the Goldsands Stadium next season, subject to Premier League approval.

"I thank God i have signed for Bournemouth and I'm very happy to meet the coach, the fans and my new teammates," Atsu told Allsports.com.gh.

"I think this season will be a very good season which i believe everything will be okay for me and Bournemouth."

He added: "I know they are a new club, they did a great job to qualify from the Championship to the Premier League. I believe i the coach, the fans and my teammates because we'll achieve great things together."

"This season everything depends on me and not the coach or anyone. For playing time, the player has to prove himself and that is what i have to work on to get into the first team."

The winger has already collected nearly 40 caps for Ghana and was named player of the tournament at this year’s African Nations Cup.
