The Supreme Court judges sitting on the case where embattled High court judge justice Paul Derry is seeking to stop the work of the Committe probing allegations of bribery and corruption against him, have reprimanded the lawyers at the Attorney General's office for the incessant delay in prosecuting their cases.

Supreme court orders AG to immediately file response in Dery's suit
According to the five panel of judges, the behavior by the officers at the AG's office is one which does not serve well for the administration of justice in the country.

They further indicated that they would be forced to take action by dismissing applications for extension of time to file responses by the AG , if reasons for the delay in filing did not have any substance.
The judge's comments follow two applications by the AG asking for an extension of time to file their responses to Justice Derry suit despite they being served over a month ago.
Justice Derry filed the case in September 2015, invoking the original jurisdiction of the Supreme Court to throw out the entire process seeking to remove him from office as a high court.
