Amanfrom robberies: Two suspects arrested

"One man was a Rastafarian 19 year old called Jafasu another one Mohammed that one is 20 years....we are also processing these two people to send to court"

Two suspected armed robbers have been arrested for terrorizing residents of Amanfrom in the Greater Accra region

The residents have for the past weeks been under incessant attacks from robbers who made away with money and other belongings. Some victims were injured while others narrowly avoided being raped by the robbers.

This compelled the police to increase their visibility in the area by setting up tents at vantage points.

Speaking to journalist yesterday the Accra regional police commander DCOP Christian Tetteh Yohuno said "one man was a Rastafarian 19 year old called Jafasu another one Mohammed that one is 20 years....we are also processing these two people to send to court"

He revealed that Jafasu in an attempt to trick the police and residents cut off his dreadlocks right after the robbery.

DCOP Tetteh Yohuno indicated that the police will consciously be there to support the residents of Amanfrom to rid the town of armed robbery
