Kwamena Bartels once blasted me - George Andah

Mr. Andah won the Awutu Senya West constituency in the Central region after polling 282 votes out of 544 votes cast representing over 50 percent for Andah.

The newly elected New Patriotic Party (NPP) parliamentary candidate for the Ewutu Senya West constituency, George Andah says a former Member of Parliament (MP) for Ablekuma North Constituency, Honourable Kwame Bartels gave him “a serious blasting” when he told the latter he was rescinding his decision to contest at the primaries.

The former marketing head of telecom giant MTN said he nearly gave up on his desire to contest the seat when his competitor, Abam Quaye was spreading falsehood about him.

According to Mr. Andah, the blast strengthened him to pursue his ambition.

“It did cross my mind a couple of times especially when Abam Quaye was going around telling all those lies about me.“I think there was a time that I called Uncle Kwamena Bartels and told him that: 'You know something, I don’t think I am going to continue this thing,' and he gave me a serious blasting but it’s all good. I think it has strengthened me,” he said on Starr Drive.
