Three masked men on Thursday night shot and killed a student at Tempane near Garu in the Upper East Region.

Identified as Emmanuel Awuni Issah, 20, the deceased was a student of the Bawku Technical Institute.

The school has been shut down following students’ riot that resulted in the injury of some police officers.

He was riding a motorbike at the time the incident occurred and was on his way home to a village called Gbane-Corner.
