Mahama Ayariga Fired From Sports Ministry

Information making rounds indicates that Sports Minister Mahama Ayariga has been sacked.

Unconfirmed report shows that Mahama Ayariga has been reassigned from the Sports Ministry to another Ministry yet to be known.

Reports also indicate that his failure to give a proper account on the expenditure spent by the Black Stars at the just ended AFCON may have called for his dismissal.

Mahama Ayariga also accused Ghanaian journalists demanding details about the expenditure incurred for the AFCON of asking him “useless questions”.

Ayariga on Adom FM stated  that “You should ask questions that will add more value to the sports ministry and not ask questions about things and procedures you don’t have any knowledge about,” after which he dropped the phone.

Mahama Ayariga is in Saudi Arabia to meet His Royal Highness Prince Abdullah Bin Mossad Bin Abdulaziz, General President of Youth of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to hold talks on how to develop sports in Ghana and Saudi Arabia.
