Famous auction house Sotheby’s has set a new record for a private automobile auction last weekend, generating a mind-numbing $53,887,585, with 100 percent of the lots all sold out at the sale of its Paul and Chris Andrews collection in Fort Worth, Texas.

The astonishing results from the single-day, single-vendor sale reaffirm Sotheby’s standing as the market leader for private collection auctions.

A result of over 15 years of dedicated and meticulous acquisition by the team of father and son., the Andrews collection has been widely known and respected amongst car lovers and the global car collector community for its exceptional quality, diversity, and historical significance.

The weekend sale, staged as part of an effort to trim down the collection to a manageable size, sold a total of 78 vehicles and select memorabilia in front of a packed house.
