The NDC meeting ended in a stalemate with the executives furious about the demolition exercise
Executives of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) in the Odododiodio constituency of the Greater Accra Region, have called on the Accra Metropolitan Assembly Chief Executive Officer, Alfred Oko Vanderpuiye to halt the ongoing demolition exercise in Sodom and Gomorrah.
The Odododiodio NDC executives said a failure on the part of the AMA Boss to heed to their advice would lead the NDC back to opposition.
A meeting between officials of AMA and Constituency executives were reported to have ended in a stalemate with the NDC executives furious about the whole exercise.
According to a report by Accra based Joy FM, the NDC executives walked out of the meeting which was attended by the Member of Parliament for the Constituency who doubles as the Deputy Minister of Trade and Industry, Nii Lante Vanderpuye, the Deputy regional minister, some NADMO officials and the Mayor.
Some shouted “Oko, I want to die. We are going to line up our children so the tractor will pass over them."
The party men say the Mayor is “wicked” and has no “human feeling” for the affected residents.
