Some supporters of the disqualified Tema West parliamentary aspirant, Carlos Ahenkorah has vowed to campaign against the NPP in 2016.
The Tema West constituency Organiser of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Arhin Young has vowed to campaign against the party still persist on disqualifying his candidate, Carlos Ahenkorah from the parliamentary primaries.
According to him, some constituency and regional executives are scheming to ensure that Carlos Ahenkorah is disqualified to pave way for incumbent Member of Parliament, Irene Naa Torshie Addo go unopposed.
Carlos Ahenkorah in an interview with Pulse.com.gh confirmed that he was disqualified from the race after constituency executives petitioned against him at the constituency vetting.
But Arhin Young maintains the constituency vetting committee have no power to disqualify any aspirant from the race.
At best, he said the constituency can only recommend to the national leadership to affirm their decision.
The constituency organizer bemoaned how the executives including the Greater Accra Regional Chairman, Ishmael Ashittey have turned their backs on Carlos Ahenkorah when in fact “he [Carlos] has doled out monies and gifts to them”.

Arhin Young said he together with the delegates will force Mr. Ahenkorah to go independent if the party upholds his disqualification.
“We will force Carlos to go independent and campaign vigorously against the NPP in Tema West to ensure we lose the 2016 election” he stressed.
Arhin Young said he together with party delegates will march to the NPP national headquarters in Accra to seek redress.
