Today we focus on the disaster that killed over 190 people at the Kwame Nkrumah circle.

The city experienced the heaviest rainfall in the year, between Tuesday night and Wednesday morning.

The torrential rainfall created a lot of floods in the capital and consequently caused havoc to property with over 190 losing their lives.

Today, Fire gutted a Goil filling station around the Kwame Nkrumah Circle following days of torrential rains that flooded most parts of Accra.

Visiting the scene of the fire explosion on Thursday, President John Mahama who was disturbed, served notice to the public government will in the future be ruthless and robust with anyone who builds on waterways.

This is a natural disaster and but prevented in 1988.
