Government has donated 50 bags of rice and sugar each to the three Muslim sects in Cape Coast towards the Ramadan period.

Regional Minister, Aquinas Tawiah Quansah, said the donation “was the government’s gesture to the Regional Muslim Council to help the less-privileged during the Ramadan.”

Leader of the Tijania Muslim sect, Imam Abubakar Ibrahim, thanked the President for the gesture while Alhaji Mohammed Ben Abu, Wallah Chief of the Al-Sunna sect lauded the Presidency for the support and assured the Minister they would put the items to good use.
