Mahama to account to Ghanaians today

The event forms part of efforts to deepen transparency and accountability in governance

 

President John Mahama will on Tuesday host an event dubbed “Accounting To The People.”

A statement signed by the Communications Minister, Dr. Edward Omane Boamah said the event will accord the President the chance to brief Ghanaians on progress made so far, “on the execution of the mandate bestowed on him by the sovereign people of Ghana in 2012.”

According to the Minister, the event forms part of efforts to deepen transparency and accountability in governance “as reflected in the fourth pillar of the 2012 NDC manifesto.”

The “Accounting to the People” event will take place at the Banquet Hall- State House at 7:30pm.
